How to grow Nigella Albion Black Pod from seed
If you like you can let the plants self seed for next season. The seedlings do not like to be transplanted, therefore it’s best to sow seeds in the fall or spring where they are to flower. Thin out so that plants have around 25 centimeters of space. The more you cut the more pods or flowers the plants will give you. This black pod variety is grown for the pods, or as an ornamental garden plant. The petals drop a bit sooner than other nigella varieties. You can also grow them under glass in the autumn in big cells. They are half-hardy so you can lose your plants in open ground during winter.
